Sports Field Irrigation

Football Ground Irrigation

With prolonged periods of dry weather, football pitches can become increasingly difficult to play on. In addition, summer seeding or turfing means regular watering is needed to ensure successful establishment of the grass. Depending on your budget Access Irrigation offer different football pitch irrigation options: travelling sprinklers, which water the football pitch in one or two passes, or temporary watering systems where risers are moved along the football pitch to water a section at a time.

Cricket Ground Irrigation

In very dry weather it is difficult to ensure that the cricket square and outfield recover from the damage caused by frequent matches. Temporary or permanently installed cricket pitch irrigation systems can promote re-growth. Permanent cricket irrigation systems consist of underground pipes bringing water to pop-up sports sprinklers located in the playing surface of the cricket pitch. These can be designed to water just the cricket square or the entire outfield. Water is normally supplied from a break tank and pump unit. If this is located near to a roof structure, recycled rainwater can be used – keeping the watering costs down.

Tennis Ground Irrigation

Both grass and clay tennis courts benefit from irrigation systems to ensure the surface is at its best throughout the entire season. Our tennis court irrigation systems usually entail using pop-up sports sprinklers located around the perimeter of the court, away from the actual playing surface. The sprinklers are almost completely hidden underground with only the top disc of the sprinkler visible when it is not operating.
